Why bots, not chatbots.

Most "AI for small business" products today are chatbots — interfaces that answer questions, draft text, or assist a human doing the actual work. They're useful, but they don't change the staffing math. You still need the person who would have done the work; the chatbot just makes them slightly faster.

A CoreShift bot is different. It owns the workflow. It receives the input, makes the routine decisions, pauses for human judgment on the non-routine ones, and produces the output. The Bid Coordinator doesn't help your estimator write a bid faster — it handles the bid process so your estimator can focus on the parts that need a human brain (scope interpretation, labor judgment, final margin call).

That's the bet: small businesses don't need AI assistants. They need AI workers — narrow, specialized, accountable, auditable. One bot, one workflow, one job done.

What we commit to.

1. We don't ship what we can't operate.

   Every bot in our catalog is at a stage we can honestly describe: built and running, in pilot, in build, or in the catalog plan. We won't claim a bot is available if it isn't, and we won't sell you a subscription to something that doesn't exist yet. See the bot catalog for current status of each.

2. We tell you what we don't yet do.

   We're HIPAA-eligible and sign BAAs on request. We don't hold SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 yet. We don't have a customer dashboard yet — we'll get there. When customers ask, we tell them the truth, including timeline uncertainty. See the full disclosure.

3. Your data is yours, and you can leave with it.

   Every customer gets a dedicated database schema. Every action is audited. If you cancel, you get a full export within 30 days. We don't hold data hostage as a lock-in mechanism.

4. We charge for what you use.

   Per-bot pricing, per-tenant, per-month. No setup fees. No annual contracts. No penalty for cancellation. If you stop using a bot, you stop paying for it.

5. We won't grow faster than we can support.

   We're taking on a small number of pilot customers in 2026. We won't onboard 50 customers before we can serve 10 well. The bot quality and the support quality come first.

Who's behind this.

CoreShift Technologies was founded by Darrin Abell, a platform architect with 20+ years in enterprise IT, most recently as Platform Manager and Lead Architect on the ServiceNow team at LinkedIn (Microsoft). Before that, similar roles building large-scale operational platforms at other technology companies.

The reason CoreShift exists: after years building platforms for some of the largest companies in the world, the gap that kept showing up was for the opposite — the small businesses that needed the same kind of operational discipline but couldn't justify a full enterprise software stack. The technology to give them that has only just become accessible. CoreShift is the attempt to build it well.
